Mountain Emotion
A cutting-edge ventriloquist,
One of some renown,
Had his dummy hurling
insults
In a West Virginia town.
As hillbilly stereotypes flew
Down from the nightclub stage,
The performer was ill-prepared
For the man who charged in rage.
"Hold on," said the frightened comic,
"It's all just meant in fun."
Said the man, "'T'ain't you
I'm atter.
I jis' wanna
git that liddle Ôun."
