Selective Standards
by DCDave

The folks in American journalism
Like to boast of their professionalism.
Their standards of proof are tough,
Two sources are seldom enough
Whenever they happen to be
Just people like you or me.

But the norms are rarely so fine
When they're pushing the government line.
Whatever comes out of the state
Always carries the maximum weight.
Then the news machine is efficient,
And one corrupt source is sufficient.
