Confessions of a Murdering Sovereign American Hero
I was going
through some old files looking for something else, when I stumbled across the
touching, powerful statement that bears the title we see here. It comes from a newsletter of Sheila M.
Reynolds, a name I don’t recognize. I do
recognize the name of the author of the “Confessions,” Brian Mahoney. My recollection is that Mahoney got in touch
with me after hearing me recite political poetry on the Jaz McKay radio show
from the 50,000-watt station in Cleveland WWWE.
Mahoney was apparently listening on his AM radio from his cell in the
Atlanta Federal Penitentiary. For his
protection, I never identified him by name, but my recollection is that it was
he who called my attention to the corruption in Federal Prison Industries,
which goes by the shorter meaningless acronym of UNICOR. He provided me with a wealth of
inside information from his own experience with several letters, but I
supplemented it quite a bit with my own independent research, including extended
interaction with a former UNICOR prison worker.
Again, relying upon my memory, I don’t think that I had even heard of
Federal Prison Industries, though, until I got that first letter from Mahoney.
I
corresponded with him for a couple of years, and he was approaching his date of
release, which I was looking forward to.
I was hoping to get even closer to the man that I thought I had come to
know well through our exchange of letters.
We had never been able to talk on the telephone, and that was the first
thing that I was anticipating. But when
the prison address with which I had corresponded with Mahoney became no longer operative,
I never heard anything from him again. I
had no other way of reaching him.
I never knew
what to think of the sudden shutdown in our communications, but as I read this
1996 statement from him, I feared the worst for him. Since our correspondence, I have learned a
great deal more about pedophilia and the degree to which it seems to be at the
very heart of the corruption in our society.
I will begin
with Ms. Reynolds’ introduction:
I was holding
off on putting this edition of the newsletter on the ole copy machine when my
nephew, Alan Spinney (one of the very few who come around to help me) brought
the mail. In the mail was a letter from
Mr. Mahoney. As I read the letter, I was
horrified, cried, felt pride towards him and even more disgust towards the
federal terrorists. I decided to present
an edited version of his letter, omitting certain personal portions and
portions that have nothing to do with the topic. And so I present:

I am currently serving a 154 month sentence (12
yrs & 10 months) for the murder (unjustified death) of a “protected
government witness”. The man I killed in
Miami in January of 1988 was in the Federal Witness Protection Program and was
currently providing the feds with information against Mafia persons. However, that had nothing to do with me. In January of 1988 I was a prosperous business man who owned and operated several eateries and
bars in the Champaign-Urbana, Springfield, Normal-Bloomington area of
Illinois. I owned a Condo in Fr.
Lauderdale, Florida that my wife and kids and myself
used a couple of times a year. We were
in Ft. Lauderdale after Christmas 87 for a vacation when on January 3rd,
1988 my little girl, Shannon – age 8,
didn’t come back from the beach with her older brother. We immediately began searching the area and
son realized the worst nightmare any parent could possibly have. “A missing child”. To make a very long, very emotional story
short, the body of my daughter was found ten days later in the trunk of a car
outside Seattle, Washington. My little
girl, my princess had been kidnapped, raped, sodomized, tortured, then killed
by this animal. This animal then cut my
little 8 year old Shannon’s body into six parts,
stuffed her into a suitcase and threw her remains in the trunk of his car.
Because he was a “Protected Federal Witness” against or in
several ongoing investigations and cases against the mob, the feds stepped in
and took jurisdiction. There was also a
question as to where Shannon, my little princess, was actually
murdered.
A good and true friend of mine informed me that this animal was not
going to be tried. They, the government,
was [sic] going to change his name and hide him back in the Federal Witness
Protection Program due to his value as a government witness. I also was informed that he was a known
pedophile and had been accused of sodomizing at least one other [sic] little
boy and fondling several little girls.
The government knew this man was a child predator and yet they let him
run lose [sic] so as to use him in their
prosecutions. On January 22, 1988 he was transported back to Miami by the U.S. Marshalls
[sic] Service. I found out what flight
he would come in on. As the feds walked
him down the airport corridor, I stepped up behind him and shot him, point
blank, three times in the back of the head.
I then handed the gun to the marshals and was led away in hand cuffs.
The rest is easy to figure out.
Federal court—vigilante justice—cold blooded, calculated murder in the
presence of the federal-government agents.
Trial—conviction—prison. My wife
divorced me in 1993, re-married and drove the business into bankruptcy.
Anyway, the animal who brutalized my angel, Shannon, is dead! I did it...I meant to do it...I don’t regret
it...I would do it again. At the time
many people thought of me as a hero.
That was more than 8 years ago.
No [sic] I’m just #34649-004 and broke.
But amazingly enough, I am at peace with myself, my x-wife [sic] and
especially God! I received Jesus as my
personal Lord and Savior about two years ago.
No matter what happens in the future, I now walk with the Lord...Praise
Jesus!
I am saved, and the feds hate it.
When I killed their precious witness, it messed up over 50 ongoing
investigations and several trials that were about to start. Oh well—now that I know what I know about the
federal courts, lying witnesses, lying feds, and corrupt prosecutors and
judges, I’m glad I did what I did, even if it meant some guilty mobsters going
free. We all make choices in our lives. I made one that I am now paying for; but the
bottom line is, that monster will never harm another child. I have asked forgiveness of God for my
action, and I have forgiven the man that man for his crime against my little 8 year old girl, Shannon, but I will never give into
or admit guilt to these terrorists. They
hate me, I dislike them, we both know where we stand.
I have about 2 ½ years left, then it’s talk show city if anyone is still
interested—the hero mail dried up years ago—how soon people forget. But I will go on with life, get re-acquainted
with my son who is now 20 years old. He
just completed his sophomore year at Notre Dame.
People must understand, the only way America is ever
be the great, free country it once was is
if Americans are willing to give up comfort and perhaps even life, to take this
country back from the grip of the evil that now strangles her very life. I want to cry when I think of what has
happened to America. I grew up on a farm
in Illinois in the 50’s. I know this countries [sic] greatness is in her people. The hard working—God fearing Americans that
made this land what it was. It will be
people spreading the truth, spreading the word to get her right again.
There are difficult decisions for brave men and women to make. Cowards never take a stand and that is why
cowards become slaves.
God bless America—and God bless the Sovereign Americans who take a stand
to regain her Liberty.
My country tis of thee
Sweet land of Liberty
Of thee I sing,
Long may our land be bright
With Freedoms [sic] Holy light
Protect us by Thy might
Great God our King.
Mr. Brian Mahoney
But Is It Real?
There are few
people, I would imagine, who have a lower opinion of our mainstream news media
and of our federal law enforcement authorities than I do, but as I reflect upon
this story, I have some doubts about its authenticity. As I indicated, I had forgotten completely
about having received it as an enclosure from Mahoney, but there must have been
a reason at the time that I chose not to publicize it. The story of the gunshot murder at the Miami
Airport, one would think, especially with such a motive, could hardly have
stayed out of the news, but I had never heard of it.
Oh, but you
say, the feds squelched it because of the embarrassment that it would have
caused them. But Mahoney talks of the
“hero mail” that had long since dried up.
How would people have known to send him such mail if they hadn’t heard or
read about his crime and its motive in the news? And everyone surely must agree that if it
happened as he says it did, it is spectacularly newsworthy.
On the other
hand, Mahoney had bought a great deal of credibility with me by how he had
gotten in touch with me and informed me about the corruption in Federal Prison
Industries, much of which I was able to corroborate and expand upon through my
own research. He seemed to have a
well-cultivated sense of right and wrong.
It was hard for me to regard him as just a garden variety criminal in
prison for standard criminality. Maybe,
at least, the local news did cover the murder, but the feds had sufficient
power over the media to prevent the news from going national.
So, upon rediscovery
of the Sheila Reynolds newsletter piece in my files, I sent it to a contact who
has a subscription to a newspaper archives service. He was unable to find mention of any such
crime in Florida for the period in question.
That seemed to confirm my suspicions that the entire story was made
up. We might also add the fact that Mahoney
did not name the man he supposedly killed and that it’s quite difficult to
believe that a man whose only known criminality is
pedophilia should somehow be connected to the whopping number of fifty legal
cases involving organized crime. Mahoney’s
abrupt end of all communication with me upon his release from prison might also
be better explained by the man’s fundamental fraudulence than that he had
become a victim of foul play by the authorities.
Perhaps the
most compelling reason of all not to believe it is that it implies that we have
an FBI that is a good deal more zealous in pursuit of organized crime than it
has ever shown itself to be. J. Edgar Hoover, whose amazing 48-year
tenure as director of the BOI (Bureau of Investigation) for ten years and then
of its successor, the Federal Bureau of Investigation, was notorious for even
denying the existence of the Mafia and of organized crime in general. His tenure ended with his death in 1972, but
despite a few highly publicized cases, there’s no indication that the FBI has
ever been all that eager to pursue organized crime. A likely reason for that is revealed in my review article of the 2001 book by Sally Denton and Roger Morris, The
Money and the Power: The Making of Las Vegas and Its Hold on America. First, when speaking of organized crime,
at least with respect to its manifestation in Las Vegas, they use the term “Syndicate”
rather than “Mafia,” because the latter term, much preferred by the Jewish run
Hollywood, suggests that it’s all Italian.
In Las Vegas, they estimate, it’s about half Jewish and only a quarter
Italian.
Maybe a
bigger reason why the feds don’t go after organized crime is because our Deep State
is so much in bed with it. This is my
first paragraph in the section called “The Government Underworld” of my review
article:
One cannot
talk about power and corruption in the United States in the second half of the
twentieth century without mentioning the Central Intelligence Agency
(CIA). We
learn from Denton and Morris that the well-known collaboration between the CIA
and the mob in the attempt to assassinate Cuban dictator Fidel Castro was
hardly an anomaly. As
wielders of secret power, the mob—or the Syndicate if you prefer—and the CIA
are in the same business, and they have found it in many instances to work
together rather than to compete. The cooperation has been so complete in such things as
illicit drug smuggling and the laundering of money that it is often difficult
to figure out where one of them stops and the other begins. I lost track at a count of 30 pages as I was going
through the various sub-categories in the index for mention of the CIA (e.g.
assassination plots, 71, 174, 208, 209-10, 213, 246, 253, 293, 295-296, 297,
298, 299, 306-7, 307-12; drug trade and, 6, 52, 103, 143, 311-12, 329; JFK
assassination and, 253-4, 297, 310), but none of those pages have any mention
of the casino-owning company, Resorts International. The company is listed
under the company’s name in the index with the pages 284, 285, and 353, and
those pages also come up under Meyer Lansky, whose index listings make up
almost half a column of the index. In their various descriptions of the company and its
activities, I can’t determine whether it was or is a CIA front company or
whether Meyer Lansky controlled it. In fact, it’s not an either-or thing as the late
Michael Collins Piper described it in a 2013 American Free Press article.
Mob kingpin, Meyer
Lansky, we needn’t be reminded, was not Italian. We made no such discovery in our
investigation of UNICOR, but it is highly likely that much of its corruption is
tied in with organized crime. The way
the system is set up, it would almost be a miracle for it not to be. As I assess the situation at this point, I’d
say that the closest that Mahoney’s experience came with the mob is not with
the man whose life he says he snuffed out but was through his work with Federal
Prison Industries, although he may not have realized it.
That does not
mean that I am dismissing his newsletter story entirely. One reason for publishing it now is to find
out if that there is anyone who has heard of his vigilante story who might
point me toward evidence to authenticate it.
