Don’t Poke the Bear

        To the tune of “Copacabana

They called him just “Ze.”  He was an actor.

He rose to power so magically,

It was quite a sight to see.

Like Pinocchio turned into real life,

With a Geppetto in the wings,

Who is known for pulling strings.

Yes, the scheming hand

Had settled on its man.

He was young and just the person

To work the neocon plan.

For the Ukraine, now known as just “Ukraine,”

A plot has been hatched that is insane.

For the Ukraine, now known as just “Ukraine,”

Someone made a decision to produce a collision,

And the Ukraine would poke the bear.

There’s the Donbass, where they speak Russian,

Protected by the bear,

The prudent would beware.

But prudence is not Zelensky’s long suit;

Ze hardly seemed to be aware

That they had poked the bear.

And then the bullets flew;

The country split in two.

There was blood and a big invasion.

Now who’s blaming who?

They called him just “Ze.”  He was an actor.

He had a lot of charm,

And in that role he did little harm.

Now he’s bringing down the curtain,

But this time it’s not a show;

The world knows that Zelensky has got to go.

But we still don’t understand

As he goes ‘round hat in hand,

This actor who would be a politician

Has just lost his land.

For the Ukraine, now known as just “Ukraine,”

A plot has been hatched that is insane.

For the Ukraine, now known as just “Ukraine,”

They have been schooled on the cardinal rule

For the Ukraine: Don’t poke the bear.

Don’t poke the bear.
